Aviagen Turkey Farm, a leading primary turkey breeder wanted to offer visitors a tour of their facility without the time consuming inductions and strict cleaning protocols whilst still showcasing their world class operations.

The Brief

To showcase their leading facilities to their customers to give them an insight into the farm, from logistics, feedings stations to inside the pens. Due to biosecurity measures the customers are unable to have a walking tour around the farm.

Our Solution

We suggested creating an immersive experience for their customers, using pre-recorded video and drone footage of the farm.

Wireless Oculus VR headsets were positioned at each seat around the boardroom table. The presenter began with a brief introduction before inviting delegates to put on their headsets.

The VR experience was launched simultaneously across all devices, ensuring a shared and seamless viewing experience. 

From the comfort of their seats, delegates enjoyed a fully immersive 360° tour of the farm, experiencing the facility in detail without the need to physically move or enter the site.

Our team remained on hand throughout to provide technical support if needed.

“It was extremely well received by our customers and offered them something genuinely different. The main feedback was that this was a real bonus for the poultry industry from a biosecurity perspective. It eliminated the need for people to be onsite, while still allowing customers to clearly see the key features of the new sites we are producing. Even with around 15 people watching the same video at once, each individual was able to freely look around at their own pace, which created a very engaging and “VIP” feel to the breakout session.

Having a technician onsite was also extremely helpful, as many of our customers had not used these devices before. This ensured a smooth and efficient process, with everyone quickly set up and comfortable using their individual headsets.

From our perspective, the filming process was straightforward and very well executed. Communication was easy, our requirements for what needed to be shown were clearly understood, and the importance of each view was captured effectively. Any changes we requested were completed very quickly, and the final film was delivered well in advance of our event.
