Sysco Conference and Themed Evening 2025

Overview 

To bring over 650 suppliers together for business updates and networking opportunities with senior leaders at the Grand Hotel, Brighton and the Hilton Brighton Metropole. 

Highlights

• Multi venue event - hosted across two venues on Brighton's seafront. 
• Bespoke game show with celebrity host - Vernon Kay hosted Family Fortunes.
• Expansion of the food supplier area - took over the ground floor of the Grand Hotel plus an additional Food Engagement space in the Hilton for networking and more time for conversation around product lines.
• Custom projection mapping - content created for the evening to change scenes between the decades.
• Increased number of creative breakouts - from an immersive store build with actors performing a scene to relay key messaging in an engaging way, to a futuristic themed space to talk about business plans

Drinks Reception - 

As guests arrive, they’ll be greeted with a retro-inspired drinks reception on the mezzanine, where dazzling mirror men and mirror head dancers sparkle under the lights, setting the vibe with playful movement and photo-worthy moments. 

A live duo will provide the soundtrack, layering upbeat retro classics with a modern twist to get the energy flowing. Once guests have enjoyed their drinks, they’ll make their way down into the Oxford Suite, where the evening kicks off with a high-energy opening video featuring familiar faces in a playful homage to the iconic scene. 

As the final beat lands, the stage bursts to life with dancers and roller skating performers culminating in a close where the host for the evening, Vernon Kay, walks to the stage escorted by our 70s mirror head artists. With signature charm and energy, Vernon will officially welcome guests and set the tone for the night ahead… just as starters are served.

Game Show - 

As the main course was served, the room begins to transform. Lighting, projections, and screen content shifts, transporting everyone from the shimmering 70s into the bold, neon-soaked world of the 1980s.

Think synths, pixel art, and all the retro charm of the era. During dinner, a female singer will entertain guests with hits from the era.

Once mains are clear, guests become part of a live studio audience as Vernon Kay takes the stage to host a special edition of Family Fortunes. This time, the entire room becomes the game board. Each side of the room will be assigned a colour (blue or green) with their allegiance brought to life through glowing pixel tubes on each table.

When it’s the team’s turn to answer, their side of the room will be illuminated in their team colour, building anticipation. Get a score on the board, and cheers erupt under the team’s glowing lights. Get it wrong, and that side of the room is bathed in striking red, turning up the drama and keeping everyone on the edge of their seat.

With audience members stepping up as team captains, expect fastpaced fun, big laughs, and a healthy dose of nostalgia as iconic graphics and clues light up the screens.

We also went one step further and incorporated an activation during the day to gather audience photos and data for the survey in the game. Guests will step inside a retro-inspired photo moment, complete with oversized TV frames, vintage screens, and bold test card graphics that instantly transport them back in time. To unlock and receive their photo, they will answer a short set of survey questions, with their responses feeding directly into the Family Fortunes game that evening.

Annual Supplier Awards - 

As dessert and coffee are served, the energy shifts once more. The visuals around the room evolve. Lighting, projections, and graphics usher everyone into the unmistakable attitude and edge of the 1990s. Think grunge textures, bold fonts, pop-art colors, and a Britpop-fuelled soundtrack setting the mood.

Then it’s time for an elevated take on the much-anticipated annual Supplier Awards. This year, they take center stage as a full-throttle tribute to the iconic 90s Brit Awards. Expect punchy edits, audience cutaways, and moments to camera capturing the fun as winners are celebrated in true music industry style. It’s loud, proud, and packed with personality, just like the decade itself.

We’ll have performers positioned, in true awards fashion, to walk your award winners to stage for those all important photos.

Finale & After Party - 

Just when the night feels like it can’t go any bigger, dancers and an aerial hoop duo take to the stage to the opening chords of an iconic 90s anthem hit.

Our dancers lead guests back up to the mezzanine for the ultimate finale as our live bandeoke band takes over, inviting guests to step up to the mic and belt out their favourite 90s classics backed by the full power of a live band. Whether it’s a guilty-pleasure ballad or a dancefloor anthem, the crowd becomes part of the show in a high-energy, interactive set that keeps the party alive.

The celebrations continue upstairs on the mezzanine, where dancers freestyle to start the evening and bandeoke ensures the night ends with voices hoarse, feet sore, and spirits skyhigh.
